In the field of Buddhist Culture, unique and precise humanities methodologies are utilized to explore various aspects of Buddhist culture, centering on Japanese Jodo Shinshu Buddhism (Shin Buddhism). Additionally, the significance of the founding philosophy, Living Together in Diversity, is identified and analyzed from various perspectives, including Buddhist beliefs, history, folklore, and culture.

In the field of Human Welfare, the aim is to cultivate core personnel who lead advanced practices in welfare settings, as well as to train individuals who can help create prosperous and vibrant communities.
Students study perspectives from fields outside of their own research, such as Buddhist Culture and Clinical Psychology, while also exploring the nature of human life and the ways people lead their lives.

Clinical Psychology
Developing clinical psychologists, public psychologists and researchers in the fields of healthcare, welfare, and education
In the field of Clinical Psychology, students explore potential solutions to mental health issues facing modern society. The aim is to train mental health professionals, such as clinical psychologists and public psychologists, who are equipped with advanced expertise and practical skills.

Recurrent education
Some courses are offered during the 6th and 7th periods, as well as on Saturday during the day, providing a schedule that takes into consideration the learning needs of working professionals, making it easier for them to study.
Non-degree Students System
This system allows students, including those who are not Doho University postgraduate students, to enroll in some subjects as non-degree students of the university. Credits earned will be recognized as credits acquired after enrolling in the program (maximum of 10 credits).
